My mom and grandma always say you can eat anything you want, aslong as its in moderation. They believed that eating what you want is a essential step to controlling your weight and also understanding food as a whole.
I slightly agree with this to a point . But I think It's important to be sure that while your eating what you want , remember "moderation" is key. So maybe instead of the candy bar and the soda, you just have the candy bar.But for most managing your weight and health doesn't require constant elimination of things you like. Instead it goes back to that key idea of "moderation" in all things, and realizing that what's necesrely good for you changes from situation to situation. Maybe if your real low on energy and need a quck pick me up maybe the best choice is the candy bar. Other times it might not be.
But that's for everyone to decide for themselve not some new diet or other regimen that controls what's right for you. I think we have to learn how to put more joy back into food, its become almost taboo too eat , I think we can all enjoy eating in our lifes while still successfully managing our health and weight.
